Complete interior renovation of two, five-story facilities totaling 250,000 square feet. The newly renovated buildings are the headquarters of the DeKalb County Fire Rescue and DeKalb Police. Also included is the new DeKalb County 911 Center, which is the 3rd largest in the country following Los Angeles and Miami. This sophisticated, 20,000 square foot center includes 42 call stations, 3 supervisor stations, an Emergency Management Agency Room, IT storage and repair, conference rooms, server room and training area all utilizing the latest in communications and technology. This project required the particular attention to increased security during construction and close coordination of several outside specialty contractors for items such as HVAC systems, generators, communications, IT, telephone, network capabilities, and radio towers.
